Because of a previous engagement, I will not be doing the cartoon for the next month. So I will be back the week of October 24th.
See you then!

I realize this week's cartoon is a cheap, obvious joke at Christine O'Donnell's expense, but I just had to do it. It was the first thing I thought of when I heard what she said, and its dumb, but it made me laugh.

I realize that this week's cartoon can be read two ways. Some people will read it as a comment on the Republican party (and that's true); BUT it more a comment on the consistent pattern of the American public.
We see it time and again. Things start going poorly and we vote in what we think is the opposite, whether or not they have a clear plan, and hope for the best. It happened in the 2008 election. The Republicans were under attack because the economy tanked, two wars and a healthcare crisis. So Democrats were voted in. The difference between that election and this one, is that the Democrats had more substantial ideas about how to fix the problems we were/are facing. The Republicans just haven't shown a clear message, other than to keep the Bush tax cuts to help economy, but not much else. Now is the time for Republican candidates to stop criticizing President O'Bama's agenda and put forth a real plan to solve not only the economy but do-able solutions for our other problems (like the national debt). |
