I'm a bit behind, so this week's comic, so far has to do with President Obama going to help Chicago's bid for the Summer Olympics. I suppose in the grand scheme of things its not that big of a deal. But it bothers me.
He's spreading himself too thin, and the Republicans are taking full advantage. The Republicans were a bit shaken at the last election but I fully believe that they conceded that elections to the Democrats. They were aware that the American Public had turned on them, and, quite possibly, they were aware of the economic, military and political mess that the former administration was leaving to the next guys. So rather than waste money and effort, they decided to put their energy into the next election. Obama and the Democrats are playing right into their strategy. By not focusing on solving one problem at a time, Obama has taken on every problem, so nothing's getting done. The American Public is starting to notice. With the mid-term elections only a year away, I am getting the impression that the Democrats will lose their majority. |
